Getting Started

BreathClock gives you a branded meditation and breathwork timer app in minutes. Here’s how to get your app live:

Customizing Your Branding

From your admin dashboard, go to Branding to customize:

• Logo — Upload a square PNG or JPEG (max 2 MB). Shown on the splash screen and in browser tabs.
• Favicon — Upload a square image (max 512 KB) for browser tabs.
• Colors — Set your primary and secondary brand colors. The dashboard shows a contrast check to ensure readability.
• Business name — Displayed on the splash screen and in the app header.
• Tagline — A short phrase shown below your name (e.g., “Yoga & Meditation”).
• Splash quote — Displayed above the “Begin” button when users open the app.
• About text — Custom text shown in the app’s About section.
• Fonts (Pro only) — Choose from curated Google Fonts for your app.

Changes propagate within 60 seconds. A live preview in the dashboard shows how your app will look.

Setting Up a Custom Domain

Custom domains are a Pro feature. With Pro, you can serve your app from your own domain (e.g., meditate.yourstudio.com).

Step 1: Enter your domain

Go to Domain in your admin dashboard and enter your custom domain name.

Step 2: Add a CNAME record

In your DNS provider (e.g., Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap), add a CNAME record:

• Type: CNAME
• Name: your subdomain (e.g., meditate)
• Value: your-slug.breathclock.com

Step 3: Provision SSL

Click “Provision SSL” in the dashboard. An SSL certificate will be automatically issued once DNS propagation completes. This can take 15 minutes to 48 hours.

Step 4: Verify

Use “Check verification” to confirm your domain is working. Once verified, your app will be accessible at your custom domain with HTTPS.

Custom Audio

Custom audio is a Pro feature. Upload your own meditation chimes and ambient soundtracks.

• Supported formats: MP3, OGG, WAV, M4A (max 20 MB each)
• Chimes — Short sounds played at intervals during meditation sessions.
• Soundtracks — Ambient background tracks that loop during sessions.

You must confirm that you own or have licensed all audio files you upload. Unauthorized use of copyrighted material may result in file removal.

Timer Presets & Breathwork Patterns

Timer presets

Customize the duration options available to your users (e.g., 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 minutes). Go to Patterns in your dashboard to configure these.

Custom breathwork pattern (Pro)

Create a custom breathing pattern with specific timings for inhale, hold, exhale, and pause. Your custom pattern appears alongside the 10 built-in patterns.

• Inhale: 1–15 seconds
• Hold: 0–15 seconds
• Exhale: 1–30 seconds
• Pause: 0–10 seconds
• Total cycle: 4–60 seconds

Patterns with a breath hold of 4+ seconds will display a safety notice to users.

Billing & Plans

Starter plan

Free during our launch period. Includes your logo, brand name, tagline, colors, and a your-brand.breathclock.com subdomain. After the launch period, Starter is $59/year.

Pro plan

$249/year (founding member rate: $187/year). Includes everything in Starter plus custom fonts, custom domain, custom audio, custom breathwork patterns, and removal of “Powered by BreathClock” branding.

Managing your subscription

Go to Billing in your admin dashboard to upgrade, view invoices, update your payment method, or cancel. You’ll be redirected to a secure Stripe portal for payment changes.

Refund policy

Full refund within 30 days, prorated refund within 31–90 days (minus $29 admin fee), no refund after 90 days. See our Terms of Service for details.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do my clients need to create accounts?

No. Your clients use the app without creating an account. Session data is stored locally on each user’s device. There’s no login, no signup, and no personal data collected.

Can my clients use the app offline?

Yes. Once your clients visit the app and it loads, it works offline. They can install it on their home screen for an app-like experience. All built-in chimes and soundtracks are cached for offline use.

What data do you collect about my clients?

We collect only anonymous, aggregate usage counts (e.g., “12 sessions this week”). We never know who your clients are, what they meditate on, or how long individual sessions last. See our Privacy Policy.

Can I have multiple branded apps?

On the Starter plan, you can have 1 app per email address. On the Pro plan, you can have up to 5 apps per email address.

How long does branding take to update?

Changes saved in the admin dashboard propagate to your app within 60 seconds. Users who have the app open may need to refresh to see the latest branding.

Can I use my own domain with the free plan?

Custom domains are available on the Pro plan. On Starter, your app is served from your-brand.breathclock.com.

What happens if I cancel my Pro subscription?

Your app reverts to the Starter tier. Custom fonts, custom domain, custom audio, and custom breathwork patterns are disabled. Your logo, name, and colors remain. The “Powered by BreathClock” banner returns.

Is there a free trial for Pro?

There’s no free trial, but Pro comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. The founding member rate ($187/year) is available for a limited time.
